Traditional Timbers Interiors have been designing and building marine joinery and fitting out vessels of all sizes for the past 30 years.

The following is an example of how we work;

We were proud to be involved with the magnificent Super Yacht 'Platinum. Platinum is a 38 metre super yacht constructed by Mackeddie Marine Pty Ltd.

After speaking with Dennis at the 2004 Sanctuary Cove Boat Show Jack Mackeddie commissioned Traditional Timber Interiors Pty Ltd to design and build an interior for this magnificent super yacht.  Jack wanted an interior that would not date and would be of a standard to suite the vessel to be used as a charter vessel with the quality of fit out that would stand up world wide as being a very stylish finish.  After a couple of initial discussions with Jack, Dennis had the feel for what was to be required.  By making several samples of different intricate parts of the vessel we were able to put across our ideas to Jack that very soon got the tick of approval for construction.  The whole interior of this boat has been designed and built in our factory at Gosford on the Central Coast NSW. While the boat itself was built in Tasmania.

Not one piece of finishing timber for this fit out was needed to be constructed on site in Tasmania.

Even the normally time consuming area of the helm station was completely constructed with all cut outs and rebates for instrumentation etc done, then finished in leather, all the helm polished ready just to fit into the boat.  This method reduced construction time dramatically and therefore cost.  Flooring throughout the boat was manufactured polished and then fitted with only a top coat to be applied after the boat was complete.  Teak decking all made to templates just ready to be fitted.
